A Postcard From Iguazu

IPA infused with Taragui Mate and Double Dry hopped with Citra and Centennial Hops. We fell in love with mate tea in different ways : Through the famous soda made in Germany, and by sharing it in little social ceremonies with South American fellas. We also came to discover "Tereré". You see, in Paraguay, and in the bordering Brazilian state of Matogrosso Do Sul, people have always liked to drink cold mate infusions, called Terere, unlike in other regions where people prefer hot infusions. Although more recently, it has become more common in other areas to also drink terere, even adding modern twists to it like mint or citrus juice to infuse the mate leaves. The latter is what inspired this beer, with the centennial hops providing the citrus edge that goes so well with the dank flavors of the yerba mate.
