Zurich Bier Festival 2024

Czech Premium Pale Lager, 12° Plato, 5.1% ABV. Tradiční. Český. Plzeňský. Klasický varný postup s dvojitou dekokcí, dlouhou dobou ležení a pouze z nejlepších českých surovin. Používáme humnový slad z kounické sladovny pana Klusáčka a chmel Žatecký poloraný červeňák, abychom získali plné sladové tělo, ušlechtilou chmelovou vůni a příjemnou hořkost, díky níž se těšíte na každý další doušek. 

Traditional. Czech. Pilsner. Old-school brewing process with double decoction, long cold lagering and only the best local ingredients: floor pilsner malt from Mr. Klusáček's Kounice malt house and Saaz hops. All this to get a full malty body, refined noble hop aroma, and pleasant crispy bitterness that makes you look forward to another sip.

Everyday Life

Single Hop NEIPA, 18 (2023) resp. 17 (2024) °Plato, 7% ABV. Chmel Nectaron je vycházející hvězdou z Nového Zélandu. Díky úžasně čistému aroma mučenky, broskví a dokonce náznaku anýzu v kombinaci snad se vším tropickým ovocem, které vás napadne, je Nectaron dokonalým příkladem zélandského chmelu. Nabízí všechno, co na tomhle regionu máme rádi, ale v intenzitě 11/10. Extra světlý, jemný a zakalený základ s hořkou koncovkou je samozřejmostí.

Starting the new 2023 series in style, this is an 18° NEIPA hopped with Nectaron, a rising superstar from New Zealand’s Plant and Food research. Still relatively rare in Europe, we managed to score just enough Nectaron for a small batch and we’re out of it again. And we’ve got to admit there is something to the hype. Huge aroma of passion fruit, peach and maybe even anise mixed with basically all the tropical fruit that comes to mind, this is a definite kiwi hop. It delivers all the brightness we love about this region but turned to 11. Extra pale, smooth and hazy base beer with a bitter finish goes without saying. Get it now and drink it fresh as we won’t be getting any more anytime soon.

I Love the Smell of Nectaron In the Morning

New England IPA, 17° Plato, 6.6% ABV. Švýcarská kooperace. Nikoho nepřekvapí, že neoblíbenější zeleninou Hoppy People ze Švýcarska je chmel. Když dorazili do Prahy jsme je tedy bohatě nasytili a oni nás na oplátku přinutili o skok zvýšit naše standardní studeného chmelení. Upřimně, moc nám to nevadilo. Abychom si to ještě zpestřili, rozhodli jsme se do něj zapracovat i Sorachi Ace, který nikdo z nás nikdy do NEIPA nepoužil. Nutno říct, že se neztratí ani v chmelovém salátu z Citry, Simcoe, HBC 586 a Idaho 7 Cryo a přidává zajímavé tóny dřeva a kokosu do už tak hutného tropického aroma, kterému dominuje žlutý meloun a marakuja.

Swiss cooperation. It is hardly surprising that hops are the Hoppy People’s favorite vegetable, so when they visited us in Prague, we fed them well and, in exchange, they pushed us to increase our dry-hopping standards. We didn’t mind, to be honest. To make it even more interesting, we incorporated some Sorachi Ace that none of us ever used for a NEIPA. And it doesn’t get lost even in the hop salad of heavy-weights like Citra, Simcoe, HBC 586, and Idaho 7 Cryo, adding interesting notes of wood and coconut to the already intense tropical aroma dominated with honeydew melon and passion fruit.

Hoppy Diet

India Pale Ale w/ Grapefruit, 15°, 6.6% ABV. Ochucená verze naší West Coast IPA. Aroma grepové kůry perfektně ladí s chmely a umocňuje tak zážitek. Citrusová bomba, hořkost grepové kůry a šťavnatost grepové dužiny. To chceš! Lollihop na druhou.

Flavored version of our West Coast IPA. The aroma of grapefruit peel blends perfectly with the hops and enhances the experience. Citrus bomb, bitterness of grapefruit peel and juicy grapefruit pulp. You want it!

Grapefruit Lollihop

New England IPA, 19° Plato, 7.7% ABV. Tak jako loni, i tento rok jsme si k adventu nadělili pořádnou NEIPA, která má od všeho trochu navíc: více sladu, více pšenice, více ovsa a samozřejmě více chmele. Použili jsme naše oblíbené Idaho 7 spolu s Cashmere a trochou Citry. Boží NEIPA! je mírně silnější, hezky plná a v každém doušku potěší explozí ovocných tónů.

For Christmas we treat ourself with NEIPA that has more of everything: more malt, more wheat, more oats and of course more hops. Slightly stronger, nicely full, smooth base is overtaken by some pleasant yeast esters and fruity aroma of Idaho 7 and Cashmere Hops with some extra Citra.
