bottling date: 27/05/2026 bottle count: 652 Almost fifteen years ago, the first Zenne y Frontera was conceived. The cellar master from Bodegas Tradición selected twelve casks on which we further matured old lambik. Since 2020, we select our casks directly with family-owned bodegas, allowing us to select from a wide array of sizes and ages, sherry types, aromas and flavours. The Single Barrel series is the purest expression of the harmony between traditional 3 Fonteinen lambik and authentic sherry. For this Single Barrel Zenne y Frontera, we bottled a three-year old lambik that has aged for almost a full year on one freshly emptied thirty-year-old PX sherry barrel from Toro Albalá. This bodega is situated in Montilla-Moriles. This region is the outlier of the sherry landscape in terms of distance. Almost all bodegas here also focus on the sweet PX sherries rather than its drier varieties. Of course, all starts with another grape variety - the Pedro Ximénez - at the base, and an ageing process that easily covers more than thirty years.
